As reported by TV Line, the Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon-led series has begun physical production, and the story was broken by Aniston who commemorated the moment on her Instagram account. Aniston shared a BTS image of herself and co-stars Witherspoon and Tig Notaro holding their name plates from the recent table read. A second image featured the script cover and reveals the first episode title, "My Roman Empire".

The Morning Show season 4 was confirmed by Apple in April 2023, and the show's renewal was in little jeopardy. With star power like Witherspoon and Aniston at the helm, the series has been a consistent hit for the streamer, and the possibility for a fifth season isn't entirely out of the question either. Witherspoon and Aniston are not only returning to star, but they will also resume their duties as producers, and it has been confirmed that season 4 will arrive after the US Presidential election in November 2024.

The cast of The Morning Show season 4 will likely remain more-or-less the same though some exits are possible. Jennifer Aniston’s Alex and Reese Witherspoon’s Bradley will be back, with the duo heading the cast of The Morning Show and serving as executive producers. One important new addition is veteran character actor Jeremy Irons who will play Martin Levy, Alex's father. Based on character details, it's clear that the two have never had a strong relationship.

Considering the break-up between Alex and Paul in the aftermath of the merger falling through in the finale of The Morning Show season 3, it is likely that John Hamm won't be returning. Where the story of The Morning Show could go in season 4 isn’t entirely known, the fallout of several major twists in The Morning Show season 3 ending will likely take precedence. Alex stopped Paul's deal by orchestrating a merger between networks that will probably result in a massive shakeup with the staff of the fictional Morning Show. Also, by turning herself in to the FBI, Bradley cleaned her slate, but she also ruined her career prospects and will have to start all over again.
